Prilly Latuconsina continues to surprise the public with her various achievements. Most recently, this multi-talented artist gifted herself a luxury yacht as a birthday present. This decision is not just to fulfill her hobby of sailing, but also to embark on a new venture in the shipping business. Here are the details.
"Yes, it's really a reward for my own birthday present, since my hobby is at sea, and I also love fishing," said Prilly when met in the area of Bundaran Hotel Indonesia, Central Jakarta, Friday (11/8/2024).
Prilly admitted that she often faced difficulties finding a comfortable boat every time she wanted to sail, which ultimately encouraged her to buy her own boat. Apparently, she had ordered the boat a long time ago, and it just arrived right in her birthday month. "Actually, I ordered it a long time ago, and it just happened to arrive in my birthday month," she continued with a smile.
However, considering her busy schedule, Prilly thought about utilizing her ships more productively. Not just buying a ship to relax, Prilly has even established a shipping company named Salayayat with several of her partners.
The company will rent out cruise ships in various locations. "Finally, I thought of just starting a shipping company. So, I ended up creating a shipping company with a few partners," Prilly explained.
Currently, Prilly is preparing two additional ships to expand her business reach. "I am buying two more ships because later those ships will be placed in different locations besides Jakarta. So, wherever I go on vacation, there will be a ship available," she said.
Of course, maintaining a ship is not an easy task. Prilly acknowledges that the maintenance costs for the ship are quite high, especially to keep the engine in top condition. However, since her ship is still new, Prilly hasn't faced too many issues with maintenance yet.
"The maintenance is quite reasonable, since with a ship we have to keep checking the engine. But this ship is new, so the maintenance hasn't been a big deal yet. So it's still all good," Prilly added.
When asked further about the ship's costs, Prilly chose not to reveal the figures. "Oh no, we shouldn't spill the ship's costs. That's private information," she joked, while laughing lightly.
Realizing how important it is to have investments that can be managed well, Prilly hopes that her efforts can inspire young people who want to dare to try new things.
