Kapanlagi.com - Actress Erika Carlina had a bitter experience when she almost became a victim of rape allegedly committed by an online taxi driver. The incident happened to Erika in Senopati, South Jakarta, in 2019.

At first, Erika didn't want to reveal the dark story to avoid negative assumptions. Eventually, she decided to share it on social media as a lesson so that women out there wouldn't experience the same thing.

"I'm sharing my experience, so that you don't go through the same thing. I'm not proud of getting drunk, no way," said Erika Carlina in Tebet, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (12/7/2023).

"Instead, for all girls, be careful when going out alone at night. Don't take public transportation to go home. Ask someone you trust like a friend to accompany you. Don't let what happened to me happen to you," Erika added.

1. Beginning of the Incident

Erika tells the story of the beginning of the incident that almost made her a rape victim. At that time, Erika decided to go home early when gathering with her friends.

"I went home at 1 in the morning, but my friends didn't want to go home yet. I asked them to accompany me, but they didn't want to, so I ended up ordering an online taxi," said Erika.

Usually, Erika always goes accompanied by a driver, but not that night. Due to certain circumstances, she had to use an online taxi service.

"I sat in the back seat and asked the driver to wake me up when we arrived. I wasn't wearing a bikini, I was wearing long sleeves and shorts. So I slept and the driver woke me up, saying 'Miss, we've arrived.' He woke me up by tapping my feet. I woke up and went back to sleep," Erika said.

Erika was shocked when the driver woke her up while stroking her thigh. When she opened her eyes, she saw the dark surroundings inside the car she was in.

"I kept getting woken up, but he kept waking me up while stroking my thigh. And then he asked, 'Can I kiss you, miss?'. When I woke up and saw that it was already dark, with rice fields on both sides," said Erika.

Erika quickly thought and remained calm despite feeling extremely scared in her heart. Erika finally agreed to the driver's request to be kissed, as long as it was done in a hotel.

"Why did I suggest going to a hotel? Because there are security guards and receptionists there. That means I can ask for help. Why did I invite him to a hotel? Because what man would refuse in that situation. When a cat is given fish, it will be ambushed," said Erika.

3. Request for Help

Upon arriving at the hotel, Erika finally asked for help from the security guard on duty. Only after that was she freed from the attempted rape incident.

"Actually, the full story is even more chaotic. But if I explain it, I'm afraid people will think I'm proud of this case. So, the message is just to be careful, my friends, let my case be a lesson," Erika Carlina concluded.
