Kapanlagi.com - Actor Baim Wong speaks out regarding various accusations that have been directed at him, especially related to the issue that he is a stingy husband. For years, Baim chose to remain silent to protect his two children from his marriage to Paula Verhoeven.

However, after officially filing for a divorce from Paula on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, Baim decided to speak up. In a press conference held at his office, Tiger Wong Entertainment, in Bintaro, South Jakarta, Baim firmly denied the accusations.

"Honestly, in my life, I have only been called stingy by one person, and that’s my own wife. I’m also confused. I have never been called stingy by anyone, my entire life," said Baim Wong.

1. Support Paula's Family

Baim explained that he has never interfered with Paula's finances. He finds it strange to be accused of being stingy, considering all of Paula's money is managed by her without any interference from him.

"My money goes into the company, but Paula's money is hers. I haven't taken a single rupiah of her money," said Baim.

Furthermore, Baim revealed that he has been providing substantial support to Paula's family, even exceeding the support he gives to his own family.

"If I were stingy, how could I support her family? I even give more to her parents every month than to my own parents," he said.

2. Help Paula's Siblings

In addition, Baim also shared that he helps Paula's siblings with job opportunities. One of Paula's siblings is employed at his company, while another has been given the chance to work in the YouTube field, and all of this is done without taking any profit from them.

"We employ one of her siblings here, and I arranged for another to work on YouTube, without taking any of their money at all," explained Baim.

Over the past year, Baim admitted that he chose to hold back and not provide any clarifications to protect his children from the circulating news. However, Baim does not mind anything said about him, as long as his children remain safe from the negative impacts related to his household issues.

"I have just been holding everything in for a year, for the sake of my child. Whether I'm called stingy, or accused of treating her differently from others, I don't mind at all. I only think about my child," concluded Baim.

Baim Wong filed for divorce from Paula Verhoeven at the South Jakarta Religious Court with case number 3477/Pdt.G/2024/PA.JS. Their first divorce hearing is scheduled to take place on October 23, 2024.
