Always Romantic with Anna Maria, Roy Marten Wants to Set a Real Example of a Healthy Relationship for His Children

As a father, Roy Marten always tries to set an example for his children, including Gading Marten. He believes that the best way to teach about love is not through a lot of advice, but by providing real examples.

"Oh often. We always give the children examples. How to love a partner, how to nurture that love," said Roy Marten when met in the Jatiwaringin area, Bekasi, on Friday (28/3/2025).

According to Roy, everyone has their own love journey. There is no definite formula that can be applied in every relationship, because each individual has their own experiences and challenges in building a love life.

"But everyone has their own path. Everyone has their own history, has their own way," he explained.

1. Not Giving Too Much Advice

As a father, Roy does not want to give too much direct advice to his children. He prefers to show attitudes and actions that can serve as examples in their lives.

"So we can't equate that. I think that," he said.

When asked if Gading learns a lot from him in building relationships, Roy did not hesitate to answer that his son indeed learns a lot from the family. He believes that real examples are more effective than just words.

"Oh yes. Clearly. Parents, when they meet their children or grandchildren, should never advise them. They get bored," said Roy Marten.

2. Set an Example

According to him, children tend to learn more from the behaviors they see every day. Therefore, he strives to be a figure who can provide good examples in various aspects of life, especially in building healthy relationships.
