Ammar Zoni has started planning for his future once he breathes free air again. Although he is currently still in prison and awaiting the judge's verdict, Ammar has a strong desire to improve his life that has been shattered.
Ammar's top priority after leaving prison is to meet his child. He is also determined to personally apologize to everyone who has been hurt by his actions. Here are the details.
"Yes, I will definitely go home soon, I have to rebuild everything, I have to stand on my own again. Because first of all, I definitely have to meet my child," said Ammar Zoni when met at the Central Jakarta District Court, Thursday (04/16/2026).
"I met my child, then I apologized to the people I have hurt, and I started again, starting my career again," Ammar Zoni continued.
On the other hand, Ammar mentioned his feelings of loneliness during his time in detention, including during the Eid moment. He admitted that he did not know who came to visit him due to limited access inside the cell.
"If I want to ask, I have to ask who, right? Because I am inside, I don’t know. So whatever it is, I know for sure that my family is also praying for the best, and the doctors are also praying for the best. So I hope you all pray for me to be okay," said Ammar Zoni.
Ammar chose to surrender and consider all the judge's decisions as the best fate from Allah. For him, this prison time is part of his life journey that must be endured.
"Whatever it is, it must be the best. No matter the verdict, it must be the best. Yes, that’s part of my story. I am optimistic, I just pray a lot," said Ammar Zoni.
The Chief Judge has set the verdict hearing schedule for next week. The judge requested time to deliberate before delivering the final verdict for the actor.
"Yes, the hearing again next Thursday, April 23, 2024, for the verdict. We will deliberate first. That’s it. The defendant returns to custody and the session is concluded," the judge stated firmly in the courtroom.
Upon hearing the schedule, Ammar Zoni only gave a brief answer before being taken away by security personnel. He stated that all his statements had already been sufficiently conveyed in front of the green table. "Enough, Your Honor," Ammar Zoni concluded briefly.
