Andro Nidji's Story When He Shared a Room with His Late Mother: I Asked the Nurse Not to Call My Name

"Yes, that's true. It was funny, like chasing each other. So my mother was admitted to the ICU and I took care of her all the time, suddenly I felt unwell, shortness of breath and everything," said Andro after the funeral at TPU Tanah Kusir, South Jakarta, on Monday (13/5/2024).

"Then I checked and it turned out to be the heart, I also entered the ICU and was placed next to it. Finally, I told the nurse and doctor to arrange the place even though it's in the same room, my mother is in the left corner and I am in the right corner. I asked the nurse not to call my name," Andro added.

Because he wanted to take care of his mother, Andro asked to be treated in the same room, but he didn't want his mother to know about it.

The bassist of Nidji didn't want his mother to worry even more because she was also diagnosed with a heart condition.

"Because if my mother knows, she will be afraid and worried. Even when I was there, my mother asked, why doesn't Andro visit the family? They said Andro is currently performing with Nidji out of town," he said.

After going through that December, the condition of the deceased improved. Unfortunately, after last Eid, Andro said that his mother dropped again until finally being treated at the hospital.

Because it was getting worse, Andro finally spoke to his mother. He admitted to his mother that he was willing if it was time for his mother to go.

"Actually, I only said it directly the day before, 'Mom, please be willing to let go of Andro, Andro doesn't need to be worried about anymore, Andro can live on his own, Andro is willing if you go' and then (she) passed away the next night," he concluded.

Currently, the deceased mother's body has been buried in TPU Tanah Kusir, South Jakarta.

The late was buried together with her husband who had passed away in 2004.
