Arrested by Police for Drug Abuse for the Second Time, Legal Counsel Applies for Rehabilitation for Jamal Preman Pensiun

Kapanlagi.com - Actor Zulfikar alias Jamal Preman Pensiun once again was apprehended by the police for drug abuse cases. Jamal was caught after one of his initials AA was arrested first after buying crystal meth.

Jamal's legal counsel, Hengky Solihin, stated that he has applied for rehabilitation for Jamal. He hopes to receive a response to the application on Monday, August 31, 2020.

"Yes, he is still in police custody, but I have already submitted a letter for rehabilitation. Hopefully, it will be accepted on Monday," said Hengky when contacted by phone on Friday (8/28).

Hengky also emphasized that his client was not arrested together with AA, who is a friend living in the same boarding house with Jamal Preman Pensiun. AA was arrested first in a separate place.

"Yes, that's AA's initials, he was not together. AA was the one who was arrested first. Jamal was walking, then arrested," he said.

2. Modus Operandi

In addition, Bandung Police Chief, Kombes Pol Ulung Sampurna Jaya, stated that the modus operandi used by AA and Jamal in buying drugs was the stick method. This stick method is used to ensure that the buyer and seller do not meet.

The evidence obtained from AA and Jamal Preman Pensiun was 0.38 grams of methamphetamine, and after examination, their urine test results showed that both tested positive for methamphetamine. For their actions, Jamal Preman Pensiun is charged with Article 112 paragraph 1 and Article 127 paragraph 1 letter a of the Indonesian Law No. 35 of 2009, with a minimum prison sentence of 4 years, and a maximum of 12 years.
