Actor Arya Saloka was seen at the funeral home of Johnny Wong, father of Baim Wong, in the Gondangdia area of Jakarta, on Tuesday (1/7/2025). His presence was a form of final respect to the deceased and to provide support to his friend, Baim Wong, who is grieving. Check out the complete photos below!
When met, Arya revealed his last meeting with the late Johnny Wong. The moment occurred during the film premiere that brought him together with Baim Wong in a movie project.
"The last time I met was at the premiere of my film with Baim. So, indeed, I had promised to visit him because there were several activities, so I couldn't make it. Yes, it was God's destiny that I ultimately couldn't visit him," said Arya Saloka, reminiscing.
When asked about the health condition of the late almarhum, Arya admitted he did not know in detail. According to him, Baim rarely discussed personal matters related to his father's health.
"Baim is someone who rarely shares, he just said his dad was sick, and asked for prayers. I also didn't want to ask too much, maybe I was afraid that when I asked, it would remind him of sadness or something, so I just prayed for him," Arya revealed.
Arya also conveyed that the funeral of the late Johnny Wong will be held in Purwakarta. He initially intended to attend, but due to his packed schedule, he decided to pay his respects directly at the mourning house.
“I only know about the family burial. I initially wanted to go to Purwakarta, but there was a miss in the activities, so I just went straight there instead. Rather than going directly to Purwakarta,” said Arya.
Furthermore, Arya confirmed the burial location with the family. He revealed that the burial was indeed conducted at the family's place, which is the reason the deceased was buried there. “I asked earlier as well, they said there’s a family place there, that’s why he was buried there,” Arya said.
Arya also conveyed his best prayers for the late Johnny Wong. He hopes that the late's sins are forgiven and that he receives the best place beside Allah SWT. “Yes, just ask for prayers from friends so that Uncle Johnny's sins are erased, kept away from the torment of the grave, and God willing, he can attain Allah's paradise,” concluded Arya Saloka.
