Shocking news comes from singer and entrepreneur, Ashanty. The wife of Anang Hermansyah officially announced the closure of her cake business, Lu'miere, which has 15 outlets in various locations.

This major decision was not something sudden, but rather has gone through a long process of thought with her husband. Bunda Ashanty, as she is affectionately called, revealed that this plan has been considered for months.

"Actually, it’s like this, it seems sudden, but we have been thinking about this for months, me and Mas Anang, actually for months," said Ashanty when met in the Pondok Indah area, South Jakarta, Thursday (31/7/2025).

The closure of this business, which has been popular among many people, is certainly a very tough decision for her. The singer of the song 'Jodohku' mentioned that among the many problems she faces, closing Lu'miere is one of the hardest.

"And what is really hard for me right now is, yes, this. I mean, I decided to close Lu'miere, like that. Sometimes, people close a business when it’s not running well, when there’s no demand for it, like that," she explained.

The many loyal customers who regret this closure have sparked speculation that this is just a marketing strategy or a prank. However, Ashanty firmly denied those speculations, considering the large scale of operations that have to be stopped.

"Yes, are we going to prank by closing 15 outlets? What does that even mean? That's just absurd. No way," she countered.

She emphasized that this decision is purely based on internal issues that she cannot disclose in detail to the public. The mother of four children assured that there is no conflict with anyone in the process of this closure.

"Oh, no, no, no, no. Honestly, there’s no fighting with anyone, no dislike towards anyone. Honestly, there really is only, there are internal issues, but I can't disclose what those internal issues are," she stated.

Although it's difficult, Ashanty and Anang Hermansyah are already convinced that this is the most appropriate solution for now. With careful consideration, they believe that ending Lumier's journey is a step that must be taken.

"Because our employees are almost 200 people, right, in the mall there are 15 outlets, right. So, it’s really not easy actually. But, I and Mas Anang are sure this is the best solution," concluded Ashanty.
