The singer and actress Ashanty reflects on 2024 as a colorful life journey. The wife of Anang Hermansyah expressed that, like life, this year has its joys and sorrows that provide many valuable lessons.
"The ups and downs of 2024 have both joy and sorrow. In life, not everything is happy; sometimes there is sadness, and there are challenges," said Ashanty when met at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang, on Friday (27/12/2024).
Nevertheless, Ashanty always feels grateful for the blessings she receives. For Ashanty, the most important thing is still being able to enjoy time with her children, grandchildren, and family in good health.
"But the important thing is to be grateful, and the most important thing is still being able to gather with children and grandchildren, that is the most important. Because being healthy and still being able to gather with family is the most important," she continued.
Looking towards 2025, Ashanty has several resolutions that she wants to achieve. One of the main ones is to maintain her health and continue to strengthen harmonious relationships within her family.
"What matters is being healthy, what matters is safety in this world and the hereafter, what matters is always gathering with family, in harmony," she said.
In addition, Ashanty also hopes to soon complete her doctoral education. She mentioned that one of her main targets is to focus on research so that she can graduate on time. "And I can finish my studies quickly," added Ashanty.
When asked about the target completion of her education, Ashanty revealed that she will only start the research phase next year. With thorough preparation, she hopes to graduate in 2026 alongside her friends.
"Next year I will just start the research. For the PhD, 1.5 years is still nothing, it feels like just starting. Next year, I think I will really reduce things that are not too important so I can focus on the research, so that in 2026 I can graduate together with my other friends," she explained.
Ashanty also does not deny that the journey of studying at Airlangga University (Unair) has its own challenges. She acknowledges that the process is not easy, but she is ready to face every struggle with full responsibility.
"Yes, at Unair, as the professor said, if you want to graduate from here, you really have to. It's not that easy, the struggle is quite extraordinary. But I chose to be there, so I have to take responsibility for my choice, and I hope to graduate with knowledge that is indeed hard to obtain," concluded Ashanty.
For Ashanty, this academic journey is not just about pursuing a degree, but also about being part of her dedication to enrich knowledge that can be beneficial in the future.
