The news about the wedding plans of Amanda Manopo with Kenny Austin that has been circulating widely has not yet reached Deswita Maharani. The actress who once played Amanda's 'mother' in the soap opera MERMAID IN LOVE admitted that she is completely unaware of the happy news.
When asked for confirmation regarding the wedding rumors that are said to take place on October 10, Deswita honestly stated her ignorance.

"I don't know. With Manda, our relationship is still good, but from the beginning, I mean, even when we started working together, Manda wasn't that open with me, with Akang, like that," said Deswita in Tendean, South Jakarta, Monday (06/10/2025).
She explained that her relationship with Amanda Manopo is different from her closeness with Syifa Hadju or Steffi Zamora. Although their relationship is very good, Amanda is not the type of person who easily shares personal stories.
"It's different from the kids who are still with me, like that. But we're fine, our relationship is very good," she asserted.
Deswita ensured that every time they meet, she and Amanda always catch up. However, their conversations never reach very personal matters like romance.
"Even when we meet, it’s still about missing each other, still like that. But indeed, Manda and I never discuss anything private or very personal," she explained.
Because of that, she has no idea about Amanda's partner or her wedding plans at all.
Nevertheless, as someone who has been close, Deswita does not forget to offer her best prayers.
"Of course, my prayers are for Manda, hopefully if she really wants to get married, I pray that this will be the best match, one that can make Manda happy, one that can complete Manda's life," she concluded sincerely.
