Kapanlagi.com - Not seen on television for a long time, it turns out senior comedian Nurul Qomar is currently fighting against illness. Despite facing a serious condition, Qomar remains calm in the face of stage 4C aggressive bowel cancer that he is suffering from. Although he is aware that cancer is a deadly disease.

Now he has to undergo chemotherapy twice a month for six months to cure his illness. Initially, Qomar admitted that he couldn't pass gas and have a bowel movement for a month.

"I don't think about death even though medically stage 4C aggressive cancer threatens a short lifespan," said Qomar when contacted by Kapanlagi.com, Monday (4/10/2021).

Although Qomar's condition has improved significantly after receiving treatment in the hospital, his wife and children are still worried about his condition. How could they not be, as the aggressive cancer has been eating away at Qomar's body for some time.

"Of course, everyone is worried because it's aggressive cancer, stage 4C. It's understandable," said Qomar.

1. Stay Strong and Keep Trying

The man who once served as a rector and a member of the DPR (Indonesian Parliament) admitted that he has his own way of calming his family. Qomar, who is also a preacher, explained the concept of spiritual ownership to his wife and children.

"Gather around, all of my children and wife. Then, I emphasize the paradigm of thinking about ownership. I tell them that if we have cars and motorcycles, we should keep them in the garage, not in our hearts and minds. If one day they are lost, nothing is lost in our minds and hearts," said Qomar.

"So, a wife can love her children and husband wholeheartedly as a sign of love for Allah, but she should never try to possess her husband because the husband does not belong to the wife, but belongs to Allah. And at some point, the husband will be called by Allah because the husband does not belong to the wife. The same goes for the opposite," said the 61-year-old man.

In addition, Qomar told his children that he has a fighter mentality and advised them to be like him. With that, Qomar hopes that his children will not be too sad or worried about the illness he is facing.

"I emphasize that your father has a fighter mentality. If he falls, he will rise again. If he fails, he will try again. If he makes a mistake, he will fix it. The important thing is not to give up easily. If you give up easily, everything will be over," he said.
