Baim Wong and Paula Verhoeven Attend Continued Divorce Hearing, Remain Silent Despite Tension

After the hearing was over, there was no explanation from either party about what had happened during the hearing. Baim Wong only directed the media crew to ask for explanations from his lawyer.

"Ah, just ask the lawyer," said Baim while leaving.

2. Paula Chooses to Remain Silent and is Represented by a Lawyer

The same attitude was shown by Paula Verhoeven. She only gave a faint smile to the media crew while walking towards her car. However, a little explanation was provided by her lawyer.

"Well, it's a trial. It's just a question-and-answer session. It's facilitated by the judge. It's dialogical," said Alvon Kurnia Palma.

Alvon also limited the information he provided to the media for the sake of privacy.

"So, I will not answer that. There are trial materials, you know. This is a divorce trial, and this is a closed session. It's to provide privacy for each party," explained Alvon Kurnia Palma.

3. Allegations of Infidelity to Suspected Domestic Violence

The origin of the tension comes from the infidelity allegations made by Baim against Paula. Baim accused Paula of having an affair with a close friend of his, which made him feel betrayed. Although Baim claimed to have given a second chance, he felt he could not continue the marriage.

However, Paula Verhoeven denied all the allegations, asserting that she did not have an affair with Baim's close friend. Nevertheless, during the trial, CCTV footage emerged showing suspected domestic violence committed by Baim against Paula. This further complicates the current situation.

4. Shocking Evidence

During the trial, shocking evidence emerged in the form of CCTV footage showing the alleged violence that occurred. The footage showed Baim yelling at Paula and even making hard physical contact. An expert witness stated that Paula experienced a strong push that caused her to be thrown back.

Baim Wong's legal counsel firmly denied the domestic violence allegations. They questioned why Paula did not report the incident to the authorities if violence indeed occurred. This added tension to the trial and made the public even more curious about the truth behind all this.

5. Endless Mediation

Previously, mediation between Baim and Paula had been conducted several times, but it did not yield results. With the conflict escalating, the divorce process continues at the South Jakarta Religious Court.
