Sherina Munaf Officially Divorced from Baskara Mahendra, Decided by Default

Kapanlagi.com - Singer and actress, Sherina Munaf, has officially divorced from Baskara Mahendra after a marriage that lasted more than four years. The divorce decision was made by the South Jakarta Religious Court on Thursday (13/2/2025).

This trial process took place without the presence of Baskara Mahendra as the defendant. According to the spokesperson of the South Jakarta Religious Court, Suryana, the defendant has been summoned twice but did not attend either summons.

"Today's trial for Sherina resulted in a default decision. This means that the decision or the lawsuit from Sherina was granted without the presence of the defendant," explained Suryana at his office on Thursday (13/2/2025).

1. Defendant Not Present

According to Suryana, the defendant's absence in two valid summons allows the panel of judges to continue the trial and make a decision. This ruling grants Sherina's divorce petition, without any additional claims such as the division of joint property.

"There’s nothing, just the divorce," added Suryana.

2. No Comment

Sherina herself attended her divorce hearing. She arrived accompanied by her legal counsel and immediately followed the proceedings. However, Sherina chose not to comment to the media waiting outside.

3. Time to File Objections

During the trial, the panel of judges also accepted several pieces of evidence and witnesses presented by Sherina. Suryana explained that the defendant still has time to file objections against this default ruling.

"If the defendant objects, then there are legal efforts to contest this default ruling within a period of 14 days," explained Suryana.

4. Sherina and Baskara Mahendra's Divorce

Sherina filed for divorce from Baskara on January 16, 2025. The couple's relationship has been reported to be strained since last year because they rarely showed togetherness on social media.

Sherina Munaf and Baskara Mahendra got married on November 3, 2020, after dating for a year. Their wedding was held privately with only close family in attendance due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The couple has not been blessed with children from their marriage.
