Baim Wong reappeared at the South Jakarta Religious Court for a follow-up hearing on the divorce lawsuit he filed against his wife, Paula Verhoeven. The mediation session held on Monday (28/10/2024) was declared unsuccessful as no peaceful agreement was reached between both parties.Â
Nevertheless, Baim emphasized that their relationship, especially with the children, remains good. It is known that his two children, Kiano and Kenzo, now live with Baim.Â
"What you should also know is that my relationship with Paula and the children is just fine, there are no issues at all. Whenever, whoever wants to meet is welcome," said Baim to the media after the hearing.
In his statement, Baim requested that the divorce process proceed calmly and without pressure from any party. He hopes the public will not spread untrue words about Paula, in order to maintain a peaceful atmosphere for their family.
"Let us resolve this issue on our side, the hearings calmly, without attacking each other or spreading untrue words about Paula. It's sad, really," added Baim.
Baim also emphasized that Paula has full freedom to meet their two children at any time. He opens up every opportunity for Paula to take the children out or spend time with them whenever she wishes.
"For me, it's free anytime the children are with their mother, they can play whenever they want too," he said.
When asked about the news that the children might experience trauma or fear of meeting their mother, Baim was reluctant to answer. He chose not to respond further regarding the children's feelings towards Paula. "I don't want to answer, ah," Baim replied briefly.
Regarding the children's longing for time with their mother, Baim emphasized that everything is fine, and there are no issues in Paula's relationship with their two children. "Everything is fine," he said briefly closing the conversation with the media crew.
