Betrand Peto finally speaks out regarding his recent vocal actions on social media amidst the controversy involving Ruben Onsu and Sarwendah. The teenager, affectionately known as Onyo, admitted that his actions were motivated by a desire to protect his father.
Nevertheless, he still expresses his apologies if anyone feels hurt. Onyo hopes that the issues occurring in his family can soon find a resolution. He wishes for the situation to return to calm without prolonged conflict.
According to him, he feels the need to speak up because he is the one who understands the character of his younger siblings the most."I also hope it will be resolved quickly. I want everything to be resolved quickly. And yesterday, it was indeed out of the intention to protect my father, so I might also apologize to those who feel that I have hurt him. Because I really know the character of my younger siblings," said Betrand Peto when met in the Senayan area, Monday (29/6/2026).
Onyo's post on social media was apparently made on his own initiative. He admitted that he did not consult with Ruben Onsu beforehand before sharing his feelings with the public. He chose to calm himself first so as not to write in an emotional state. "No, I didn't tell my dad. I typed it out, then I collected it first, calmed my emotions down, then thought and typed it. It has to be in a good mood too," he said.
Ruben Onsu's response was said to be quite surprised to see his son's bravery in posting that statement. Nevertheless, Onyo emphasized that what he did was a form of self-defense."Yes, he was just surprised," Onyo said briefly.
Onyo emphasized that he has no intention of worsening the situation. He just wants to convey what he believes is true without exaggerating the situation.
"Yesterday was all my defense. So I just spoke according to what I feel, I don't want to exaggerate," he concluded.
