Bimbim and Ridho Remember Ivanka's Mother, Slank Personnel Now Orphans All

Nikma Arifin, the mother of Ivanka Slank, passed away and left sorrow for the large Slank family. The personnel accompanied the deceased to her final resting place on Monday (3/8/2026), including Bimbim and Ridho.

"Ivan's mom was beautiful, a former model. Yes, I express my condolences to Ivan. Because for the past three to four years, she has been in and out of the hospital, coming home, going back in. The last time she came home, she was already healthy, had a check-up, everything was good," said Bimbim.

During the funeral procession, Bimbim remembered the deceased as a warm person who always supported her son's musical journey. He also shared the news conveyed by Ivanka's father shortly before her mother's passing.

"Ivan's dad once told me, he was asked where he preferred to sleep? At home," he said.

The funeral procession on Monday (3/8/2026) was attended by the members of Slank. Bimbim and Ridho were seen accompanying Nikma Arifin to her final resting place with family.

2. Ivanka's Rehabilitation Period That Is Still Remembered

One of the most memorable moments for Bimbim occurred when Ivanka was undergoing rehabilitation. He recalled Ivanka's mother's initiative to take her son to the Slank headquarters in Potlot for recovery.

"I remember the time during rehab. His mother called Bunda, 'Bunda, Ivan doesn't want to be taken care of.' Then Bunda said, 'Just take him to Potlot.' Finally, his mother took Ivan to Potlot during rehab. That's what I remember the most," he reminisced.

Bimbim's closeness with Ivanka's family has been established for a long time. He mentioned that he had known Ivanka's neighborhood even before Slank took its current form.

"I've been close to Ivan since he was in Potlot in the '90s. Even before that, when Ivan was still in high school, I often hung out in Tebet, in the alley in front of Ivan's house. So the neighbors knew me too," he said.

According to Bimbim, Nikma Arifin's support for Ivanka in the music world has never wavered since the beginning of her son playing in a band. He believes the late mother provided space for Ivanka to create.

"Many parents sometimes doubt the future of artists. His mother did not. From the start, Ivan playing in a band had full support. I was even surprised when I saw in his room yesterday, there were so many Slank photos kept by his mother. Maybe Slank is still here today because of one of our mothers' prayers," he revealed.

Ridho also remembers the late mother as someone who was close to all the personnel. He mentioned that their interactions were warm, like a family.

"For me, usually when the family gathers, we always chat casually. Ivan's mom is close, we also feel like she is our own mother. The way she talks is like talking to her own children," said Ridho.

In a conversation at the location, Bimbim realized that after the passing of Nikma Arifin, all Slank personnel have now lost both parents.

Bimbim said, "Now Slank is all orphans, right?"

"All orphans here," he said briefly.

"We express our condolences for Ivan," said Bimbim.

"May he be given strength and comfort," Ridho added.

"Heavenly prayers for her," Bimbim concluded. Ridho agreed with this statement.
