Kapanlagi.com - Paula Verhoeven and Baim Wong underwent a divorce hearing at the South Jakarta Religious Court on Monday (28/10/2024). The agenda of the hearing focused on further mediation to resolve the household issues between Baim and Paula.

After approximately two hours, Paula was seen leaving the courtroom with teary eyes. The two left the courtroom separately.

When leaving the courtroom, Paula's eyes appeared red and puffy as if she had just been crying. However, she chose to remain silent and avoided media questions regarding the outcome of her mediation. Paula continued walking towards her car without saying a word.

Alvon Kurnia Palma, Paula's attorney, revealed that Paula's desire not to speak in front of the media is to protect her children's feelings.

“Everyone has their own characteristics and he respects all parties. He wants his child not to be exposed to news that may later be recorded and detected,” said Alvon at the South Jakarta District Court, Wednesday (28/10/2024).

Furthermore, Alvon explained that Paula wants to focus on the trial process and maintain the confidentiality of the details of her household issues.

“Therefore, it is better to have a closed trial. For that reason, the arguments are not disclosed outside, just in the trial,” said Alvon.

The mediation session between Baim Wong and Paula has not yet reached a conclusion. Therefore, the mediation will continue on Tuesday (29/10/2024). "This trial continues with mediation," he concluded.

As information, Baim Wong filed for divorce from Paula on October 8, 2024, citing allegations of infidelity. This divorce case has been registered under case number 3477/Pdt.G/2024/PA.JS.
