Choosing to Be a Complete Woman, Oscar Lawalata Now Has a New Name

Kapanlagi.com - Oscar Lawalata recently declared that he is a transgender. Through the YouTube channel The Lawalatas, the older brother of Mario Lawalata stated firmly that he wants to become a complete woman. 

"I choose to be a woman. To become a complete woman," said Oscar Lawalata. 

Oscar himself admitted that he started feeling his feminine side since he was young. Because, this accomplished famous designer has had a feminine appearance since childhood. And he only realized his identity 5 years ago.

"I knew from a young age that I am transgender. After studying who I am for about 5 years, I realized that I am transgender," he answered.

1. Change Name

Having a new identity as a woman, Oscar Lawalata has also changed her name. Asha Smara Darra, the name she chose herself, has a beautiful meaning. 

"My new name is Asha Smara Darra. Asha means hope, Smara means love, and Darra means a strong tree," she said. 

2. Making Her Mother Hurt

Oscar's decision to become a woman has caused Reggy Lawalata to feel hurt. This 60-year-old woman admits that she was hurt by other people's views of her son.

"If you ask me, yes, I'm upset about how people talk, how people look when we go to a restaurant, it hurts," she said.

Realizing how people perceive her son, that's why Reggy never lets Oscar go out alone, "I'm the one who feels hurt. That's why I always accompany her because I know how she is."
