Not accepting her daughter being treated harshly, Hansen's mother-in-law, Pamela Susanti, finally made a report to the police. She told the story of why Miki could be tortured by her husband.

"On Tuesday, February 4th in the morning, her husband came to her. Her husband, who has remarried, rarely comes home, but when he came home, Miki was suddenly hit after seeing the mobile phone. She was hit with a knife handle and a broomstick," said Pamela Susanti, Miki's mother, as quoted from the Starpro Indonesia YouTube channel (07/02/2020).

1. Tortured for One Hour

Miki's mother revealed that during the torture by her husband, her daughter could only cry and scream for help. As a result, Miki suffered several bruises on her neck and other parts of her body.

"During one hour of torture, my daughter could only scream and cry. But she didn't dare to report to the police for fear of being killed, because she was threatened," she said.

2. Performing a Medical Examination

Two days after Miki was tortured by her husband, Pamela immediately reported the act of violence to the police. However, unfortunately, she did not know the exact procedure for performing a medical examination. Instead of going to the police station, Pamela took her daughter to the hospital first.

"I received the information on Wednesday night, so on Thursday, I went to his house to do the medical examination. I didn't know that I had to report to the police first, so I took my daughter to RS Fatmawati at 1 PM. The doctor there said that I had to report to the police first if I wanted to do the medical examination. The police had to be brought along," Pamela said.

3. Miki Changes Her Mind

However, unfortunately, Miki changed her mind when she found out she had to deal with the police. At that time, she was in the car with Hansen's parents and immediately changed direction.

"Finally, I decided to go to the police, because I happened to be riding a motorcycle. My child and their in-laws were in the car, suddenly on the way, they scattered, instead of going to the police station, they turned to another road. From there, it was difficult for me to meet my child," Pamela regretted.

4. Assisted by Local Neighborhood Watch

Not giving up, Pamela hurried to meet her child at their residence. When picked up, Miki did refuse to leave the house until the local neighborhood watch officer intervened and asked her mother to go home.

"Mama wants to settle everything, Ki, before it gets worse. Please open the door, Ki, mama knows Miki is at home. Miki shouldn't be like that, Hansen is bad. That's your life, Ki, he threatened to kill you," Pamela said to Miki as quoted from Tribunnews.

"Just go home, mama," Miki refused her mother's invitation. However, after a negotiation process that also involved the local neighborhood watch officer, Miki finally agreed to undergo a medical examination.

5. Motif Domestic Violence

After investigating, Pamela suspects that Hansen's motive for violence against his child is jealousy. According to her, her sister-in-law doesn't like it when Miki communicates with her friends from junior high school.

"Because of jealousy, even though Miki is just a regular housewife with two children. She is always at home and not allowed to go anywhere, occasionally she chats with her friends from junior high school on WhatsApp. She talks to them so she doesn't feel lonely. Unfortunately, Hansen read a message from a man on WhatsApp and got angry even though there was nothing going on, no romantic relationship," she explained.

"He got angry, and Miki is not allowed to be friends with anyone, whether male or female. Miki has to stay at home and take care of the children," Pamela added.
