Closed Trial for Vadel Badjideh Case Held, His Mother Comes to Provide Full Support

Kapanlagi.com - The South Jakarta District Court held the first trial of the alleged child molestation and abortion case with the defendant Vadel Alfajar Badjideh on Wednesday (25/6/2025). The trial, which took place at 16:35 WIB, was closed due to the nature of the case involving minors.

"This trial is held in private," said Chief Judge Halida Rahardhini in courtroom 02 of the South Jakarta District Court.

1. Maximum Threat of 15 Years in Prison

Vadel appeared in the courtroom wearing a red prison vest, which he removed before sitting in front of the panel of judges. This trial drew media attention, but all journalists were directed outside by security personnel before the trial began.

Based on observations at the location, Vadel entered the courtroom around 4:35 PM WIB. This legal process is a continuation of the report made by Nikita Mirzani regarding the alleged sexual assault against her daughter, Laura Meizani, or Lolly, who was only 17 years old at the time of the incident.

Vadel had previously been named a suspect by the South Jakarta Metro Police since Thursday, February 13, 2025. He is charged under Article 76D in conjunction with Article 81 paragraph 1 of the Child Protection Law, with a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison.

Two public prosecutors in this case are Mochammad Zulfi Yasin Ramadhan and Pompy Polansky Alanda. Currently, Vadel is undergoing a 20-day detention at Cipinang Prison, East Jakarta, for the prosecution stage.

Amid the pressure of this heavy case, the figure of his mother, Titin Badjideh, draws attention. She attended the first hearing and was finally able to meet her son again since Vadel was handed over to the South Jakarta District Attorney.

"Yes, I just stroked his cheek," said Titin when asked about her meeting with Vadel.

3. Vadel's Mother Remains Strong and Provides Support

As a mother, Titin appears strong and continues to show full support for her child. She admitted to having conveyed words of encouragement directly to Vadel before the hearing began.

"I said, 'Mama is here.' Just that," said Titin while holding back her emotions.

4. Hoping the Child Case Will Be Resolved Soon

She hopes this case can be resolved soon and remains confident that her child did not do what is alleged. Titin continuously prays for her son to stay strong during the legal process he is facing.

"God willing, he is a strong child. I always pray for my child to face today with strength, patience, and sincerity," said Titin.

"And to be able to answer all the questions that will be asked later in the trial," she added.

5. The Legal Process for Vadel Continues

This case emerged after Nikita Mirzani reported Vadel Badjideh to the South Jakarta Police on September 12, 2024. The report is registered under the number LP/B/2811/IX/2024/SPKT/POLRES METRO JAKSEL/POLDA METRO JAYA.

Nikita's daughter, Lolly, is said to be the victim in this case. After the case was examined by investigators, Vadel was immediately named a suspect and underwent legal proceedings up to the court.

With the first trial having been held, the public is now awaiting the continuation of the legal process against Vadel Badjideh. There is also significant attention on the family, especially the mother, who continues to provide emotional support amid the storm of the case affecting her child.
