Entering the month of Ramadan, Mat Solar continues to fulfill his obligation to fast despite his declining health condition. This was stated by his son, Idham Aulia when contacted on Thursday (30/4).
"He still fasts. But if he feels weak and unable to continue, he usually breaks the fast. (fasting) Half a day," said Idham Aulia.

According to Idham Aulia, his father's intention to fast during Ramadan is indeed very strong. However, his father fasts to the best of his ability to avoid any negative impact on his health.
"There's no problem if he can fast, he will fast. But if he can't, he will break his fast halfway. The important thing is the intention to fast, that's all," said Idham.

In addition, Mat Solar is still required to have regular check-ups with the doctor to monitor his health. However, the schedule for these check-ups is not as frequent as before due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
"The check-ups are still ongoing, but the time range is not as fast as before, approximately every two to three months. The rest of the time, he just takes medication," he added.
