Corona Virus Spreads, Ustaz Yusuf Mansur Chooses to Stay Inside the House

Kapanlagi.com - The widespread Corona virus outbreak certainly makes many parties worried and start to take precautions. This also applies to Ustaz Yusuf Mansur who chooses to spend more time inside the house.

"Alhamdulillah, we are just at home. So we control everything from home. Including controlling the online learning process in all institutions under my supervision these past few days, with the permission of Allah," he said when contacted by phone on Wednesday (18/3).

1. Cancelled Schedule

He himself admitted that there were many lecture schedules that had to be cancelled or rescheduled due to the Corona virus. The government itself has advised against holding large events during this condition.

"If the calls have started to be cancelled a week before our decision to send the students home. So at the beginning of March, I contacted all the schedules to ask for their understanding, telling them that a situation like this would definitely happen," he added.

"So instead of suddenly slowing down, I said from the beginning 'please reschedule all activities until further notice'. And it turned out, right?" he added.

2. Follow the Fatwa

He also spoke about the restriction of Friday prayers in the mosque. Ustaz Yusuf Mansur said that he follows the fatwa and believes that MUI has carefully considered the fatwa.

"Yes, so it becomes only Dhuhr prayer. Because it closes the doors of backwardness, as the title of the rule suggests, it is more preferable than seeking benefits. Yes, we follow the fatwa of MUI, which is a gathering of knowledgeable scholars and experts from various fields," he concluded.
