The disaster began when heavy rain poured over Bali, causing flash floods on Wednesday morning (10/9). The villa where Patricia was staying with her family became one of the properties affected by the flood in the Canggu area. Through her Instagram, Patricia showed that water had already entered the bedroom. "Oh my god, look at this, guys. Everything is wet as soon as I woke up," she said.

The rainwater not only soaked the lower floor but also flowed heavily from the rooftop area down the stairs. Patricia was even confused as to how the water could enter when the rooftop door was tightly closed. In her video, she showed the relentless flow of water coming down. "The rain is really heavy, the water is flowing down nonstop from above," Patricia continued, explaining the condition of the villa she was staying in.

Patricia then realized that many electronic items had been exposed to water. The power outlet, refrigerator, air purifier, and even the printer were damaged due to leaks from the roof. In her video, she pointed at the submerged items. "This plug is submerged in water. This refrigerator is dead, I don't know if the refrigerator is broken or not. This printer is wet, I don't know if it's damaged or not," she shared.

When the flood occurred, Patricia was not only with her husband but also with her parents, mother-in-law, child, and three domestic helpers. Her mother was even the first to notice the leak from her room. "Mom was sleeping, she heard dripping. Then mom tried to look, and everything was wet, the floor. Oh my, it's crazy," said her mother.

Several hours later, Patricia updated that the flood condition in her house had started to recede. "Everything is safe now, everything is dry," she said while showing a room that was still messy but where water was no longer pooling.

In the next story, Patricia shows the villa's rooftop that has become the source of the problem. One of the drainage channels was found to be blocked by leaves, causing water not to flow properly.

Patricia also explained that she has already found a solution to her problem. The villa owner, who is also her friend, immediately called a worker to check the problematic drainage and roof. "The one who built and designed this house is also my friend, so I’ve informed both of them about the issues, and they immediately called a worker to check this house," she concluded.
