Darius Sinathrya and Luna Maya are united in the latest horror film titled SUMALA. This film produced by Hitmaker Studios and directed by Rizal Mantovani is scheduled to be released simultaneously in theaters on September 26, 2024.
This film is based on a true story in Semarang Regency, Central Java that occurred in 1948. Producer Rocky Soraya took the title 'Sumala' from a viral thread on X from the account @BangBetz_.
Luna Maya and Darius Sinathrya as the actors admitted that they did not feel scared when offered to star in this film. They are confident that nothing bad will happen during the production process.
"No, not really," said Luna Maya when met at Kapanlagi Youniverse, Central Jakarta, Friday (23/8).
"We believe we want to create something good for the work, it will definitely go well along the way," added Darius.

"This is the first film that is based on a thread, something new for me personally because I think people already know the story, so I hope it will still capture the public's attention to watch," she stated.Â
