Denny Cagur Proud of His Career Journey, from Comedian to Sitting in Senayan

Denny Cagur is known to the public as a comedian, host, and now serves as a member of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI). His long career journey of more than two decades is considered a proud achievement in his life. Read the full story below!

The man who started his career on the stage of comedy competitions never expected to get this far. For him, every stage in life is a process that should be appreciated.

"I am happy with all the achievements in the entertainment world, struggling from the beginning of the competition, participating in competitions until during the first competition people said 'are you really funny?', and finally we became national champions," he said when met in the area of Jalan Kapten Tendean, Mampang, South Jakarta, on Monday (14/4/2025).

Denny also recalls the moment he first established the Cagur group in 1997. The group became a significant stepping stone in his career.

"Fortunately, I still met the person, then in early '97 we started Cagur and it has continued until today. Alhamdulillah, it has been approximately 25 years," he continued.

Not only in the entertainment world, now Denny is also taking on his new role in the political world with full responsibility.   "Continuing to step into the next phase of life, now serving in Senayan," said Denny.

He hopes to remain healthy and to have smooth sailing in fulfilling the various roles he now carries.   "Happy with all the achievements, may it go smoothly, be kept away from bad things, and continue to be healthy," he said.

Denny also hopes to continue living alongside his family and witnessing the growth and development of his children.   "That's the hope, to stay healthy with my wife to see the children grow up," he concluded.
