Despite the Success of Her First Film, Titi Kamal Reconsiders When Offered to be Involved in the Horror Film 'MAKMUM 2'

Kapanlagi.com - The horror film MAKMUM successfully gathered a total of 825 thousand viewers during its circulation in 2019. It's no wonder that Dheeraj Kalwani, the producer, became interested in making a sequel.

After being delayed due to the pandemic, the filming process for the sequel titled MAKMUM 2 has begun. Apart from Titi Kamal, no characters from the first film will be featured.

Instead, there will be new characters played by Marcella Zalianty, Samuel Rizal, Dea Panendra, and Ence Bagus. Not only the cast, but the director has also changed from Hadrah Daeng Ratu to Guntur Soeharjanto.

MAKMUM 2 will be released in cinemas throughout Indonesia on December 30th. Before that, the official trailer, which lasts two minutes and fourteen seconds, was released to pique the curiosity of the audience.

In the trailer, the character Rini, played by Titi Kamal, has undergone significant development. The story's setting has also expanded from a school to a remote village.

Although the film MAKMUM was successful as Titi Kamal's horror debut, she did not immediately accept the offer to be involved in the sequel. The wife of actor Christian Sugiono needed to think carefully first.

"Honestly, I always think deeply when offered a horror film. Despite having starred in previous films, I ask for time to delve into the script. Before finally accepting to appear in this horror film," Titi said, as quoted from a WhatsApp message received by KapanLagi.com.

3. Meeting the Ghost of the Worshipper Again

MAKMUM 2 tells the story of Rini who is grieving because her husband has passed away. Together with her only child, she decides to return to her hometown.

While in the village, Rini's child mysteriously disappears. This causes the woman to be bound again with the ghost of the worshipper that almost took her life years ago.
