The patience of the singer Dewi Perssik seems to have run out. After previously only giving a warning, she is now officially taking legal action by reporting a fake blue-tick Facebook account that has impersonated her name.
Accompanied by her attorney, Sandy Arifin, the woman affectionately known as Mami Depe visited the Metro Jaya Police on Thursday (9/4/2026). This decisive step was taken because she is worried that the account will be misused for fraud. Here are the details.
Sandy Arifin explained that the report was made on suspicion of data manipulation. They have submitted all the necessary evidence and their report has been received by the police.
"So today we have officially filed a police report regarding Article 35 of the ITE Law related to data manipulation, where it seems that the Facebook account in question belongs to our client," said Sandy Arifin at the Metro Jaya Police.
Although known as a forgiving person, Dewi Perssik does not want to take this lightly this time. According to her, this action needs to be taken not only for herself but also to represent other fellow artists who may be experiencing similar issues.
"I will always forgive anyone... but this time I might want to represent my friends so that this does not happen and repeat again," said Dewi Perssik.
The former wife of Saipul Jamil feels that her kindness has often been misinterpreted. She suspects that the only way to give a deterrent effect is through serious legal action. "Yes, that's why it seems like they should be imprisoned. Because maybe I was too kind in forgiving continuously, making it too easy," she added.
His biggest concern is if the fake account is used to deceive his fans. He does not want anyone to suffer financially due to the actions of these irresponsible individuals.
"Yes, if it has come to this, it must be continued because this is dangerous, falsifying data is not something trivial. So I’m afraid it will be misused later, and in the end, it will drain his wealth, right? It’s really scary, please help," he concluded.
Now, the perpetrator is threatened with multiple charges under the ITE Law that carries a sentence of up to 10 years in prison. Dewi Perssik and her legal team are also ready to follow all legal processes that will take place.
