Didiet Maulana Helps Frontline Guardians of the Covid-19 Pandemic with Donation Drives

Didiet Maulana has discussed with several hospital heads about what is needed before conducting this fundraising. The discussions were conducted through conference calls as a form of implementing social distancing.

"I am compelled to help the heroes on the frontlines, doctors, and medical workers. Yesterday and this morning, I just finished a meeting with the heads of Pelni hospital and Tangerang General Hospital on how to help," said Didiet Maulana when contacted by phone on Tuesday (24/3).

1. Three Types of Aid

The aid distributed from this fundraising campaign includes money, personal protective equipment, and food. These three types of aid were chosen based on careful consideration with the hospital.

"So, the first one is a donation in the form of money that I will directly distribute to these two hospitals. The second one is aid in the form of personal protective equipment, which can be directly distributed to the hospital, and the third one is food aid. Because many motorcycle taxi drivers are also afraid to deliver food to the hospital now. So, food aid is also needed," said Didiet Maulana.

2. Send Direct Assistance

Didiet admitted that he personally provided assistance in the form of funds, because the hospital can use them according to their needs. Didiet also added that assistance in the form of goods and food can be directly given to the hospital without being channeled through him.

"If it's directly to the hospital, just go directly to the hospital because I don't distribute it. I only distribute assistance in the form of funds from me personally. Funds will be important because they will manage their own funds for whether to buy food, whether to buy PPE or something else. If you want assistance in the form of goods, you can directly send them there," concluded Didiet Maulana.
