Divorce Application of Ferry Irawan against Venna Melinda Has Been Decided, Here are the Results

Kapanlagi.com - The South Jakarta Religious Court has decided on the divorce case filed by Ferry Irawan against his wife, Venna Melinda, on August 3, 2023. In the verdict, the judge granted Ferry Irawan's request for divorce from Venna Melinda.

"The divorce application with case number 595 at the South Jakarta Religious Court, with the applicant being Ferry Irawan and the respondent being Venna Melinda, Alhamdulillah has been decided by the panel of judges, and the decision is to grant the applicant's initial application," said Khairul Imam, Ferry Irawan's legal representative in Jakarta, on Saturday (5/8/2023).

"This means that the divorce application from Mr. Ferry has been granted, and the judge has given permission to the applicant, Mr. Ferry, to pronounce one raj'i divorce to the respondent, Ms. Venna Melinda," added Khairul Imam.

1. Venna's Lawsuit Also Granted

Meanwhile, on the other hand, the judge also granted Venna Melinda's counterclaim/counter-lawsuit against Ferry Irawan.

"Mbak Venna's counterclaim is also granted by the panel of judges, sentencing Mr. Ferry to pay iddah maintenance in the amount of 30 million rupiah and mut'ah 30 million rupiah," said Khairul Imam.

2. Ferry Irawan Given Opportunity to Appeal

Based on the verdict, the judge of the South Jakarta Religious Court gives Ferry Irawan 14 days to consider whether to accept the verdict or file an appeal.

"The South Jakarta Religious Court gives a 14-day period after the decision is made, to declare an appeal or not? And we are still considering. Because it's related to iddah maintenance and mut'ah. Because this maintenance must be paid first before the talak declaration can occur," said Khairul Imam.
