Divorce Hearing of Ruben Onsu and Sarwendah Postponed Due to Unfound Address

Kapanlagi.com - The South Jakarta District Court held another divorce hearing for the couple Ruben Onsu and Sarwendah on Tuesday (16/7/2024). Today's hearing is still scheduled for mediation.

However, neither Ruben nor Sarwendah attended the hearing. Ruben Onsu was only represented by his lawyer, Tiara Oktavia.

After the hearing, Tiara Oktavia did not give any comments to the media regarding the divorce hearing of Ruben Onsu and Sarwendah.

1. Address Not Found

Public Relations of South Jakarta District Court, Tumpanuli Marbun explained that the mediation between Ruben and Sarwendah was postponed because Sarwendah's address stated in the lawsuit was not found.

"So today's trial should have been the second summons to the defendant. However, based on the summons received by the court, it turns out that the address stated by the plaintiff previously, named Sarwendah, was not found," said Marbun at the South Jakarta District Court, Tuesday (16/7/2024).

2. Submit Latest Address

Marbun added that the panel of judges ordered the plaintiff's legal representative to submit a new address so that a repeat summons could be carried out.

"The panel ordered the plaintiff's representative to submit a new address to the Panel of Judges for a repeat summons," he said.

The court requested Ruben Onsu to submit Sarwendah's latest address so that a valid summons could be conducted.

"Yes, maybe (Sarwendah did not receive the summons), maybe she used to live there. Now she doesn't live there anymore, so that's what the panel requested from her legal representative, to find the new address so that a valid summons could be conducted," said Marbun.

3. No Mediation Yet

Due to that address, the mediation process between Ruben and Sarwendah has not been able to be held until now. The mediation process will be conducted when everything is complete.

"Not yet (mediation), never. Mediation is done when both are complete first, after complete the case will be handed over to the appointed mediator judge, then both parties will be called for mediation, so that this lawsuit can be resolved or withdrawn," said Marbun.

4. Rescheduled

Next week's agenda is scheduled for the re-summoning of the defendant with the latest address to be provided by the plaintiff.

"The next summoning is scheduled for the upcoming trial, the plaintiff will provide a new address. With this new address, we will conduct the summoning. We haven't done this summoning yet because the address hasn't been given," he concluded.
