Don't Want to Use Too Many CGI Effects, 'KKN DI DESA PENARI' Film Involves Dozens of Real Snakes

Kapanlagi.com - MD Pictures has released the trailer and poster for their latest film KKN DI DESA PENARI. On that occasion, Manoj Punjabi, the producer, stated that in the film, which is based on a viral story on social media, they will minimize the use of CGI technology.

"From the beginning, I asked the team to use CGI as minimal as possible. Usually, CGI snakes are not easy to create, even for 50 big snakes. We only use CGI for about twenty percent, I want it to be real so we use real snakes," said Manoj Punjabi when met at MD Pictures, Setiabudi, South Jakarta, on Friday (21/2).

According to Manoj, the scene in this film required several actors to wrestle with dozens of real snakes. This is done to make everything look real and make the audience feel goosebumps when watching the scene.

"Because if we use CGI, it won't feel real. How can I get the effect of the snake to make the audience feel goosebumps when watching this film later? It's true that if all the snakes are CGI, it can be done, but it can take a long time, up to 5-8 months," he said.

The plan is for the film KKN DI DESA PENARI to be simultaneously released in all theaters nationwide on March 19, 2020. This film is a collaboration between two horror film box office creators, directed by Awi Suryadi and produced by Manoj Punjabi.

In addition, this film will involve several talented young actors such as Fajar Nugraha, Aghniny Haque, Calvin Jeremy, Adinda Thomas, and Tissa Biani. Not only young actors, but there are also several senior actors who will also participate in the film KKN: DI DESA PENARI such as Diding Boneng and Kiki Narendra.
