Dul Jaelani Reveals the Importance of Religion as a Support in Life During Ramadan

Kapanlagi.com - Young musician Dul Jaelani revealed how important the role of religion is in life, especially during the month of Ramadan. Dul shared his views on how religion serves as a main strength in living life.

According to the son of Maia Estianty and Ahmad Dhani, religion provides peace and guidance in facing various life challenges. He highlighted the phenomenon of people abroad who lack religion and tend to feel stressed.

“Because I see that on average, people who have no religion end up stressed. How many times have we seen the situation abroad where people are not religious? For me, it is very important in this day and age that religion is made a support in life. Regardless of whether it is right or not, what matters is to learn first,” said Dul when met in the Pejaten area, South Jakarta, on Thursday (6/3/2025).

1. Happy to See Enthusiasm in the Holy Month of Ramadan

During Ramadan, Dul feels happy to see the enthusiasm of Muslims around the world. He highlights the crowded mosques in major cities like Mecca, London, and New York during the tarawih prayers.

“Alhamdulillah I am always happy when Islam resonates. I am very pleased that something related to Islam is becoming global, especially in this month of Ramadan. There is already a lot of evidence,” he expressed enthusiastically.

2. Born into a Family that Instills Religious Values

Dul also shares how he was raised in a family that instilled religious values from a young age. His father, Ahmad Dhani, often gave simple yet meaningful advice.

“Thank God I was born into a family that both always focuses on religion. The one who taught me not to talk after the call to prayer was my father,” Dul recounts.

3. Reminder for Mother Maia to Always Pray

In addition, Maia Estianty, the mother, also plays an important role in reminding Dul to always start everything with a prayer. This has become a habit that he continues to hold onto until now.

“Sometimes when I’m lazy to say bismillah or anything, I always remember my mother said that. My mother always says bismillah when she wants to go out,” he said.

4. Ramadan Becomes a Moment of Gratitude

For Dul, Ramadan is not just about worship, but also a moment to be grateful for what he has. He feels inspired by the orphans who remain enthusiastic despite facing many challenges.

“Alhamdulillah I still have parents. I admire them. I should be learning from them. I have complete parents, I should be even more enthusiastic,” said Dul.

5. A Special Time for Family

Dul expressed that Ramadan has always been a special time for his family. Despite being busy with their own activities, the extended family of Ahmad Dhani and Maia Estianty always makes time to gather and break the fast together.

“Every Ramadan, it’s a must to gather, break the fast together, and have family time. Every Ramadan, it’s absolutely necessary,” concluded Dul.
