Edward Akbar Denies Committing Car Embezzlement, Police Will Examine Kimberly Ryder to Match Statements

Kapanlagi.com - Kimberly Ryder reported her husband, Edward Akbar, to the South Jakarta Metro Police on June 21. The report concerning the embezzlement of one car is registered under number LP/B/1900/VI/2024/SPKT/POLRES METRO JAKSEL/POLDA METRO JAYA.

As the reported party, Edward has complied with the police's summons for questioning last Monday (12/8/2024). The results of this examination will lead to Kimberly being summoned to match the statements of both parties.

"The Criminal Investigation Unit will examine the victim, sister KR, on August 22. This is to clarify if there are any discrepancies or matches. Because previously, statements were taken from the victim's husband," said the Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi, on Friday (16/8).

It was further explained that in addition to Kimberly Ryder and Edward Akbar, several witnesses have been examined. One of them is Kimberly's mother.

"As of now, there have been five witnesses from whom statements have been taken by the South Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit. In addition to the victim, there is also the victim's mother and the victim's uncle," added Kombes Pol Ade Ary Syam Indradi.

2. Edward Denies Committing Embezzlement

Met after the examination last Monday (12/8), Edward Akbar denied having embezzled the car. Because the car is described as joint property.

"Yes, as I mentioned at the beginning, this is joint property. We got married on August 26, 2018, and the car was purchased together in December 2018. That's all I can say. Bismillah, where is the element of embezzlement? Hopefully, this can be cleared up," stressed Edward.
