Edward Reports Allegations of Violence Allegedly Committed by Kimberly Ryder Against Their Child to KPAI

Kapanlagi.com - The divorce process between Kimberly Ryder and Edward Akbar is heating up after Edward officially reported his wife to the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI). The complaint is related to allegations of violence against a child allegedly committed by Kimberly.

"There are three incidents that we have provided as evidence," said Edward's lawyer, Jundri R. Berutu, while giving a statement at the KPAI office in Menteng, Central Jakarta, Thursday (3/10/2024).

The first incident reported allegedly occurred in October 2023, where their child experienced unpleasant treatment. "At that time, the perpetrator allegedly pinched the child until he fell and cried," explained Jundri.

1. Hit and Scratch Child

It didn't stop there; the second incident reported by Edward's legal counsel occurred in February 2024. "He hit his child's stomach until he cried," Jundri continued.

The last evidence included in the complaint pertains to an incident that allegedly took place in April 2024. "The case involves the first child. He was scratched, leaving scratch marks," Jundri explained.

2. Motive Unknown

The motive behind the behavior allegedly exhibited by Kimberly is still unknown. However, Edward's legal counsel stated that they have gathered enough evidence to support their report.

"Perhaps he does have a tendency to be physically abusive towards the child, as there is actually much evidence that has not been recorded," he said.

Currently, Edward Akbar's side is waiting for this complaint to be followed up by KPAI. "It will be followed up later," Jundri concluded.
