In response, his legal counsel, Aldwin Rahadian, asserted that the allegations are baseless and do not align with his client's daily life.
"Oh that is a serious accusation, it has never been like that so far. We all know, Mas El, Al, Dul, and so on are far from such matters, right? Especially earlier what, THC and all that, right?" said Aldwin when met at the Metro Jaya Police Headquarters on Friday (21/8/2026).
Aldwin delivered this denial along with other clarifications that have recently accompanied El Rumi's name. He emphasized that the circulating issues need to be addressed proportionally and based on facts.

Aldwin Rahadian believes the accusation of THC vape use directed at El Rumi has no basis whatsoever. He stated that this is far from his client's daily life.
This rebuttal was delivered immediately after he visited the Metro Jaya Police. According to Aldwin, the speculation that has developed needs to be clarified to avoid adding confusion in the public.
In his explanation, Aldwin also mentioned the names Al and Dul, emphasizing that they, along with El Rumi, are far removed from the allegations made.
In addition to denying the accusations, Aldwin urged those who claim to have evidence not to hide behind anonymous identities. He encouraged that reports be made through official channels.
"If someone claims it later, don't be anonymous, okay? Don't be anonymous, try to show it, report it officially, okay? Report it officially, yes, okay," he emphasized.
He added that a clear reporting mechanism is important to ensure that every claim can be followed up in accordance with applicable legal provisions.
The legal counsel stated that they do not want to rush in responding to various circulating issues. Aldwin mentioned that the developing issues might not actually refer to El Rumi.
"So if necessary, there is a legal process and so on, please go ahead. So let’s not make assumptions; people are making assumptions to create drama, yes, directing it here. But we also don’t want to be overconfident, it could also be someone else," Aldwin explained.
He emphasized the need for a measured process, so that the responses given remain within the legal corridor and do not add to the confusion.
Aldwin stated that his side has prepared steps if unfounded claims arise. He asserted that they will face and refute any allegations that do not align with the facts.
"We are anticipating that if such things occur, we will certainly face and refute them because they do not align with reality. Everyone is having a hard time now; there are always malicious intent and modus operandi," he revealed.
On the same occasion, Aldwin explained the reason El Rumi appointed legal counsel. He said that El Rumi received many phone calls for confirmation, especially since EJR resides in Pondok Indah, and as a public figure, he feels disturbed.
"Yes, it's not just a feeling, but because he is being confirmed, many are calling because EJR lives in Pondok Indah, you know. That’s certainly because as a public figure, he feels disturbed," he concluded.
