Eriska Rein Acknowledges Her Home Often Floods, Children Have to Evacuate

Kapanlagi.com - Beautiful actress Eriska Rein shared an unpleasant story about the condition of her home in North Jakarta. Entering the rainy season, Eriska admitted that her house is now frequently affected by tidal floods that come unexpectedly.

This condition, Eriska acknowledged, has become something she often experiences, especially during extreme weather in Jakarta. This certainly disrupts her daily activities and also her family's at home.

"Quite often, especially when the weather is like this, during the rainy season," said Eriska Rein when met in the Epicentrum area, South Jakarta, on Tuesday (22/12/2025).

1. Moving the Kids to Relatives' House During Floods

To anticipate this, Eriska already has a standard procedure for her family. If the water starts to rise, she usually immediately takes her children to evacuate to a safer place so that their activities are not completely disrupted.

"From me, maybe we already know... we already know that if this happens, I evacuate to my in-law's house, or the kids definitely have to take a break from school. Whether we like it or not, our activities get postponed, we stay inside the house or, as I mentioned, I go to my relative's house," she explained.

2. No Plans to Move Houses Yet

Although she has to deal with the hassle of floods, Eriska admits that she currently has no plans to move houses in the near future. This is because the location of her children's school and her husband's office are in the same area.

This mother of two explains that she has already consulted with her husband regarding this situation. However, for now, staying in North Jakarta remains the most rational choice for her family's mobility.

3. Prioritize Children's School and Husband's Work

"The children go to school around there, my husband also works there. We've been there for quite a while, so we're still thinking about it because it's been 10 years in the Northern area, so moving directly requires a lot of things to consider," said Eriska.

The water level reaching the knees of adults makes Eriska extra cautious, especially when she just returns from outside. She often gets trapped and cannot enter the house until the water completely recedes.

4. Experience During the Flood

"There was (a flood experience), because it really lasted for a few days. I was dropping off my child, and when I came back, the water had risen, and I couldn't get into the house," she said.

"So, I ended up evacuating usually until the evening, when the water had receded a bit, then I could finally get into the house. So, over time, I got used to that pattern, I mean, I wasn't shocked. But luckily, it wasn't too high, maybe just knee-deep," she concluded.
