Yakup Hasibuan, as the legal representative of Vidi, invited the Keenan party to continue the cassation process because it is their right as citizens.

"As for now, the Keenan Nasution party wants to continue their cassation to the Supreme Court, please do so because it is indeed their right," said Yakup Hasibuan when contacted by the media crew on Thursday (19/03/2026).

However, their belief in winning again is based on a solid legal argument. Yakup refers to the Constitutional Court decision No. 28/2025 which clearly regulates who is responsible for paying royalties in a music performance.

According to that decision, the obligation to pay royalties does not rest on the shoulders of the performing singer, but rather on the event or performance organizer.

"Moreover, with the decision of the Constitutional Court no. 28/2025, which states that legally the party obligated to pay royalties is the event organizer, and not the singer," he explained.

This legal fact is what makes Vidi Aldiano's side very optimistic that the cassation filed will be rejected again by the panel of judges in the Supreme Court. The lawsuit has been deemed misdirected from the start.
