Finding Guidance in the Pandemic, Bella Shofie Decides to Wear Hijab

Kapanlagi.com - Bella Shofie admitted that she is determined to wear hijab, as she has been frequently posting photos wearing hijab for the past few months. Bella explained that her decision to wear hijab was made during her interactions with her neighbors during the pandemic.

She believes that wearing hijab can bring peace to the heart. Bella also often listens to lectures on social media and YouTube.

"It started during the lockdown when we spent a lot of time at home, and I met many mothers there, and the people on Pulau Buruh, Ambon," said Bella when met in Menteng, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday (1/9).

"I saw that their way of life brought peace to me, a peace that I had never found in Jakarta before. Then I started listening to lectures by ustaz on YouTube, and there was also a mentor there whose name doesn't need to be mentioned," she continued.

1. Four Months Wearing Hijab

Bella Shofie also admitted that she has been wearing hijab for four months and during that time, she has found comfort in wearing hijab. She also received support from her husband to cover her aurat (body parts that should be covered according to Islamic teachings). Despite wearing hijab, Bella Shofie said she will still look attractive in choosing her outfits.

"Then suddenly my heart was touched, yes, by saying bismillah alhamdulilah now it's been four months, and I found a lot of comfort, alhamdulilah. Every time I want to do something, I always talk to my husband 'dear, I want to continue like this, how do you respond?'. Then he said 'well, I support you'," she said.

"Still fashionable with Bella Shofie. So we can cover our aurat, but with my own style," she concluded.
