First Session Postponed, Legal Counsel Reveals Reason Catherine Wilson Files for Divorce

Kapanlagi.com - The first divorce session of artist Catherine Wilson and her husband, Idham Mase, was held at the Depok Religious Court, West Java, on Wednesday (10/1/2024). However, the session was postponed because Catherine Wilson and Idham Mase did not attend the hearing.

"According to the Depok Religious Court, both parties should have been present at today's first session," said Dody Hariyanto, Catherine Wilson's legal counsel at the Depok Religious Court, West Java, on Wednesday (10/1/2024).

"Because both parties did not attend, the panel of judges only examined the evidence of the lawsuit submission, and the document check has also met the requirements or not," added Doddy.

1. Separated Life

Dody then revealed the reason why Catherine Wilson filed for divorce at the Islamic Court of Depok, West Java.

"Because their lives have already been separated. Keket (Catherine Wilson's nickname) is in Jakarta, while her husband is a legislator in Sulawesi and has his own busyness. Finally, they agreed that Keket would return to her parents' house in Depok, while Idham would stay in Sulawesi," said Dody.

Previously, Catherine Wilson was sued for divorce by Idham Mase at the South Jakarta Islamic Court. However, Idham's divorce petition was dropped by the panel of judges.

2. Not Demanding Alimony

Then, in December 2023, Catherine Wilson filed for divorce at the Islamic Court of Depok, West Java. "Because it was dropped and Catherine wanted to separate, she filed for divorce at the Islamic Court of Depok," he said.

In her lawsuit, Catherine Wilson only wants a divorce from Idham Mase, without any alimony demands. "The main purpose is to have a peaceful separation. Second, to avoid any disputes between the plaintiff and the defendant," he said.

"Third, the household is no longer sustainable according to Catherine as the plaintiff because they are already living on separate islands," he concluded.
