Former Driver of Inara Rusli Asserts He Did Not Receive Money from CCTV Recordings

The former driver Inara Rusli, Agung, finally spoke out regarding the slanderous accusations claiming he sold CCTV recordings for personal gain. Through his legal counsel, Agung firmly denied the news while responding to a summons at the Bareskrim Polri. 
 
Sukardi, as Agung's lawyer, emphasized that to date, there has been no compensation received by his client related to the video. The accusation of a commercial transaction is said to be untrue as his client was only performing a monitoring function after hearing unusual sounds at the employer's house.

"Until now, Agung has never received a single penny or any facilities from any party regarding the CCTV," said Sukardi.

In addition to denying the issue of money, Sukardi also confirmed that Agung is no longer working as a driver in that house. The decision to terminate him was made so that Agung would not get too deeply involved in the conflict faced by Inara Rusli and Virgoun.  "Since this case arose, Agung has not worked there. He has been dismissed by Virgoun," he said.

Although Agung worked to assist Inara Rusli and her children, his employment status was administratively managed by Virgoun. All matters regarding salary and rights as an employee over the past four years have been directly handled by the musician.

This is what underlies why the decision to terminate employment also came from Virgoun. "Yes, because it is Virgoun who has been paying and providing wages to everyone who works in that house," he said.

Regarding the circulating issue that Agung used CCTV recordings to threaten in order to obtain severance pay, the legal counsel challenged the opposing party to prove it. Sukardi emphasized that until the last moment of his employment, Agung never made any strange demands, let alone extorted his own employer. "So far we have not received that information, and up until the termination, Agung also never received anything," Sukardi explained.

Regarding the reason behind the CCTV recordings, Sukardi explained that there is a strong reason for the video capture. This started from a report by a household assistant (ART) with the initials Y, who suspected unusual activity inside the house.

Unfamiliar sounds triggered concern among the workers in the house, prompting them to conduct further checks through the surveillance camera. "Hearing strange noises on the 3rd floor, that's why they checked," he said.
