Reason Why Inara Rusli's Former Driver Took CCTV Video, Heard Strange Sounds

The case of alleged illegal access to CCTV recordings at the residence of Inara Rusli continues to roll on the police desk. Inara Rusli and Virgoun's former driver named Agung Eko Haryanto has just undergone questioning as a witness at Bareskrim Polri. 

Agung's presence aims to explain his involvement as the first person to secure the video recording from that private area. Agung's attorney, Sukardi, provided clarification on how his client was able to obtain the recording for the first time.

He emphasized that Agung's position in this matter is only as a witness providing testimony according to what happened on the ground. "Agung received the CCTV footage first," said Sukardi at the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency.

Sukardi explained that there is a strong reason behind the recording being taken. This started from a report by a household assistant (ART) with the initial Y, who suspected unusual activities in the house.

Unfamiliar sounds triggered concern among the workers in the house, prompting them to conduct further checks through the surveillance camera. "Hearing strange noises on the 3rd floor, that's why they checked," he said.

The legal representative also clarified that the action of checking the recordings was the result of discussions among several workers at home, including the personal assistant. Sukardi emphasized that the report from the household staff regarding the presence of a foreign male voice at night was the main reason why his client felt the need to see what was actually recorded by the surveillance camera.

"This ART informs party A, the witness, that last night there was the sound of a man and some strange noises," he said.

Regarding permission from the homeowner, Sukardi mentioned that Agung has often been trusted with technical matters such as fixing CCTV or replacing memory.

The working relationship that has been ongoing for four years has made his client feel responsible for maintaining the security of the house. During that process, Inara Rusli as the employer was also said to have never had an issue with the technical actions taken by Agung."Inara never instructed and never prohibited regarding the retrieval of CCTV," said Agung's lawyer.
