Virgoun Fails to Respond to Komnas Anak's Call, Lawyer Reveals the Reason

The latest news comes from musician Virgoun, who was scheduled to appear at the National Commission for Child Protection (Komnas Anak) to provide clarification regarding the report filed by Inara Rusli on Tuesday (3/2/2026).

However, during the agenda that was supposed to take place today, Virgoun was noted to be absent and was only represented by his lawyer. This absence raised questions regarding the continuation of the heated child custody dispute case.

Andy Santika, as the legal representative of Virgoun, provided an explanation regarding the reason his client could not meet with the Child Protection Commission (Komnas Anak) in person. According to Andy, Virgoun actually had good intentions to respond to the complaint, but time constraints were the main obstacle for the singer of the song "Surat Cinta Untuk Starla" to attend the invitation.

"In essence, Virgoun really cannot attend because first, the invitation was sudden. Secondly, there is indeed work that our client, Virgoun, cannot leave behind," said Andy Santika in the Cinere area on Tuesday (3/2/2026).

Andy added that his team has sent an official response letter to the Child Protection Commission as a form of accountability. He emphasized that Virgoun's absence does not mean avoiding the issue, but rather due to a work schedule that was already contracted previously.

"If it's about the summons from the National Commission for Child Protection, it's related to a request from brother IR regarding what, the forced removal of a child. That's why the National Commission for Child Protection wants to clarify this to our client, Virgoun," he said.

Although he could not attend today, Andy mentioned that Virgoun actually feels happy if there is an opportunity to provide clarification. He does not feel burdened by the report from Inara Rusli to the child protection agency. This is because Virgoun also wants to ensure that the perceptions circulating in the public do not only come from one side.

"Actually, Virgoun might be okay with a summons that is not too sudden because Virgoun himself has also expressed that he is actually happy to be called," he said.

Now, Virgoun's side is preparing to attend the next meeting scheduled for next week. Andy hopes that at this meeting, all parties can speak calmly for the sake of their children's future.

"God willing, it should be on the 9th if I'm not mistaken. We have also tried to talk to Virgoun so he can attend as well, so this issue can be resolved quickly," he concluded.
