Free from Prison, Agung Saga Immediately Prostrates in Gratitude and Cries Touchingly

Kapanlagi.com - Film and soap opera actor Agung Saudaga, also known as Agung Saga, has been officially declared free after serving a one year and six month sentence related to drug abuse. Accompanied by his lawyer, Andre Nusi, Agung was seen leaving Cipinang Detention Center in East Jakarta on Wednesday (10/7/2020) at around 13:00 WIB.

As soon as he left the prison, the actor of the film D Love immediately prostrated in gratitude at the gate. He couldn't hold back his tears of happiness.

"Alhamdulillah, I really didn't expect to be declared free today," said Agung Saga.

1. Lighter Sentence

In truth, Agung was sentenced to 4 years and 2 months in prison for being proven to possess and control the narcotics known as sabu. However, through his lawyer, Agung sought justice up to the cassation level. The Supreme Court then handed down a lighter sentence to him.

"The Supreme Court considered Agung only as a user and declared a sentence of only 1 year and 6 months. Today, Agung has completed his detention period," said Andre Nusi.

2. A Flashback to the Moment of Agung Saga's Arrest

As is known, Agung was arrested by the police in April 2019. Not alone, his accomplice named Harry Nugraha was also apprehended. Both were arrested in front of Circle K, Jalan Petogogan II, Gandaria Utara, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.

From Agung and Harry's possession, the police found evidence in the form of 1.53 grams of Sabu-sabu. After a urine test was conducted, it was revealed that Agung had indeed tested positive for drug use.
