Lucinta Luna Found Guilty, Sentenced to 1 Year 6 Months in Prison
The sentence is lower than the prosecutor's demand, which is 3 years in prison and a fine of IDR 25 million or six months in jail.
Kapanlagi.com - After going through a long trial process, the verdict for Lucinta Luna has finally been issued. Today, Wednesday (30/9), Judge Eko Aryanto stated that Lucinta has been sentenced to 1 year 6 months in prison and a fine of Rp 10 million.
This sentence is lighter than the demand submitted by the Public Prosecutor (JPU), which was 3 years in prison and a fine of Rp 25 million. In response to the judge's decision, Lucinta's legal counsel stated that they are satisfied and will not appeal.
"Yes, we believe that the panel of judges has considered the facts in the trial and handed down a fair punishment for Lucinta Luna. We will not appeal," said Ami Amalia, Lucinta's lawyer, to the media on Wednesday (30/9).
On the contrary, the Public Prosecutor's Office expressed disappointment because the verdict for Lucinta was lighter than their demands. It is possible that in the future the Public Prosecutor's Office will file an appeal to increase the punishment for the singer of Jom Jom Manjalita.
"Yes, we are slightly disappointed. If we think about it (for the appeal), we will determine our stance in the next 7 days. We want to consult with our superiors first. If the other party has already accepted it," said Asep Hasan, the Public Prosecutor.

In response to the statement from the Public Prosecutor's Office, Lucinta's side claimed to be undeterred. If the trial must continue, they are ready to face it.
"We will face any legal efforts in front of us. Not only is the Public Prosecutor's Office disappointed, we are also disappointed. We want to be free. In our defense, we stated that the defendant is not guilty and requested acquittal," concluded Ami.
