Gaga Muhammad Released Earlier Than Sentence, Lawyer Speaks Out

Kapanlagi.com - Former lover of the late celebgram Laura Anna, Gaga Muhammad was known to have been released earlier than his prison sentence. Previously, Gaga received a 4.5-year sentence from the panel of judges at the East Jakarta District Court in 2022.

The news of Gaga Muhammad's release was confirmed by Fahmi Bachmid, his legal representative. Fahmi said that his client has breathed fresh air one week after Eid.

"Yes, first of all, I express gratitude that Gaga Muhammad has been breathing free air since April 18th, actually," said Fahmi Bachmid when met at his office in Cawang, East Jakarta, on Tuesday afternoon (30/4).

Fahmi Bachmid said that he has communicated with Gaga Muhammad's parents regarding this news. He also mentioned that Gaga is currently in Jakarta.

"I have also communicated with Gaga's father and reported that 'Gaga has left, he is already in Jakarta', so Gaga is still living in Jakarta," he said.

2. No Issues with the Deceased's Family

When asked further, Fahmi Bachmid explained that legally, his client no longer has any issues with the family of the late Laura. This is because Gaga has already undergone the legal process.

However, regarding Gaga's early release, Fahmi believes that it is the result of Gaga's own efforts and good behavior.

"Legally, there are no longer any issues between Gaga and the victim's (Laura's) family, it's already resolved. Gaga has served his sentence and it is part of the legal process that must be obeyed and carried out by Gaga Muhammad," he stated.

"Alhamdulillah, all of Gaga's efforts, perhaps being disciplined, obedient, as someone who is undergoing and as a convict who obeys the rules, have allowed him to be released earlier than the required sentence period," he concluded.
