Having OCD Since Elementary School, Aliando Syarief: It Feels Mixed Up!

Kapanlagi.com - Aliando Syarief surprisingly announced that he is experiencing Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). Due to the disorder he is suffering from, Aliando has difficulty carrying out activities and decides to withdraw from several of his work projects.

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a type of mental disorder. People with OCD have uncontrollable and repetitive thoughts and urges (obsessions), as well as compulsive behavior. The actor, who rose to fame through the soap opera GANTENG GANTENG SERIGALA, explained that he has been suffering from OCD since elementary school. He had recovered, but in recent years he has had to deal with the disorder again.

"I had it in second grade of elementary school, but it came back at the age of 25 now. Second grade of elementary school was already over. After that, I got OCD again in late 2019 until last year 2020," said Aliando, quoted from the YouTube Populer Seleb channel via Liputan6.com on Friday (28/1).

Aliando has to fight against negative thoughts that arise in his mind. Even this 25-year-old man seems to have to fight hard to be able to control his thoughts.

"What I feel about OCD is that it's a mix and match, we're like fighting with our own thoughts. Because those negative thoughts want to dominate our minds. So we have to fight back," he said.

2. Fear

Aliando feels that the disorder haunts him even in his daily activities.

"I still take showers, but imagine, it takes effort to do so. Like when I'm showering, suddenly you scratch your head to the skull," he continued.

3. Therapy

To overcome this mental disorder, Aliando is currently undergoing therapy.

"Because of OCD, this is work. So even at home, I still work to overcome this ordeal. That's it," Aliando concluded.
