Last February, Bams revealed that he recovered from a rare cancer, namely skin and muscle cancer. He admitted that he was really down. However, he has accepted his illness and said, "Surgery, that's what cancer is, even when it's declared clean it can still relapse, that's cancer. If you say I'm healthy now, then I'm healthy," said the 37-year-old man.

If you still remember, Mikhavita Wijaya, who is Bams' wife, was reported to the police in 2016 on charges of kidnapping. It was allegedly done because Mikha's business partner went missing, which led him to hold his wife and child from meeting the business partner.

Coinciding with suffering from cancer last year, Bams was also faced with another trial where his business went bankrupt due to PSBB (Large-Scale Social Restrictions) and his place of business was closed. In the first 4 months, Bams was still able to pay his employees' salaries, but after that, Bams was forced to let them go.

In his Instagram post, Bams wrote that May 2020 was the lowest point in his life. He even had to undergo a second knee surgery, his business was still unstable, and faced other trials. As a result, Bams neglected taking care of himself, but he tried to rise up and face the challenges with more resilience. By December of the same year, Bams' appearance had greatly improved.

What certainly surprised the public was Bams suddenly announced his divorce from his wife, Mikhavita Wijaya. "I am indeed in the process of separating (from Mikha). We agreed to separate in January," said Bams when met in the Cipete area, South Jakarta, on Friday (26/3/2021).

When asked about the circulating rumors, Bams neither confirmed nor denied them. "Oh... if that's the case, well, it's difficult for us.
