Checked by KPK, Cita Citata Admits Not Knowing Juliari Batubara

Kapanlagi.com - For two hours, Cita Citata was questioned by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) regarding the alleged corruption case of Covid-19 social assistance (bansos) involving former Minister of Social Affairs Juliari Batubara.

Cita Citata's name was dragged into this case because it was reported that she received Rp 150 million when performing at a Ministry of Social Affairs event in Labuan Bajo. Later on, it was revealed that the funds actually came from bansos that should have been allocated for Covid-19 handling.

1. Invited by Event Organizer

After the questioning, Cita Citata explained that she was invited to the event by the event organizer. She was not directly connected to Juliari Batubara.

"The one who invited me was the event organizer," said Cita Citata at the Red and White Building of the KPK in Kuningan, South Jakarta, on Friday (26/3).

2. Not Familiar with Juliari Batubara

Cita Citata also emphasized that she does not know who Juliari Batubara is at all. "So, I don't know anyone, including Mr. Juliari Batubara, I don't know him at all," Cita Citata firmly stated.

In this case, the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has named Juliari Batubara and two officials from the Ministry of Social Affairs, Matheus Joko Santoso and Adi Wahyono, as suspects.

Cita Citata also mentioned that she has only met Adi Wahyono. However, they did not have a direct relationship. Because she was invited by a third party, namely the event organizer.

"I have met one person named Mr. Adi (Wahyono) who invited me to the event. So, I have no connection with him at all," she concluded.
