Bisma Karisma reveals another side of himself by releasing a solo album titled RIHLAH. RIHLAH comes from the Arabic language which means a journey to seek knowledge and spiritual enlightenment. This album is the crystallization of Bisma's experiences and life journey so far.

"Rihlah is my journey to get to know the Nusantara more deeply, especially after the pandemic," said Bisma at the Kapanlagi Youniverse office, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (17/7/2024).

"I am happy to learn about the noble history and culture of Nusantara. For me, it is important not only to live in the present, but also to understand what is brought from the past and how we can continue it," added Bisma.

In the making of this album, Bisma collaborated with Lafa Pratomo as the producer. This album features eight songs.

There is one song worked on together with Alyuadi from Heals and Rizky Parada from Gaung. The unique touch of the producers gives a distinctive nuance to each song in this album.

One of the interesting songs is Angin, which is a recycling of the work of the legendary artist from Bandung, Harry Roesli.

The main song in this album, Malam, was chosen to represent a more expressive and meaningful musical and lyrical exploration.

The RIHLAH album carries more exploratory and expressive music, showing Bisma's transformation from a cheerful image in SM*SH to a more contemplative and reflective side in his solo project.

"It's like SM*SH, I am truly, Bisma remains the same. But the Bisma-Karisma journey may be in silence, in crowds," he explained.

Bisma's hope is for the RIHLAH album to become a travel companion for listeners to get to know themselves.

"In today's time, everything is fast-paced. There is rarely time to ask oneself or understand what is truly desired. I hope this album can help people find their answers," said Bisma.
